May Day (also known as Labor Day and International Workers’ Day) is the annual holiday of the year to celebrate the achievements of workers.

This year the Covid-19 outbreak marks an uneasy time for all of us. M-SPACE would like to take this opportunity to thank all the employees who have been walking through the tough journey with us especially to those who have joined the company for over 10 years. They are core in the team always spreading positive attitude and vibe.

In this special occasion, M-SPACE interviewed six colleagues who shared their stories in these years of growth.

“M-SPACE has witnessed me growing from a boy to a man in these 11 years. It was such a delight being part of the team for over a decade and now I become one of the “veterans” in the company. I love talking with people and always believe that open, honest and effective communication leads to rewarding outcome. Together, we create miracles.”

Q：How would you describe the culture at M-SPACE?

“The culture is to a company what the personality is to a person. The growth of M-SPACE has tightly linked with the devotion by every of us. Dynamic, passionate and creative, the company organises regular activities to encourage us to relax, recharge and reconnect besides work. At M-SPACE, we share the same mission and vision, fighting towards the goal. Giving-up is not the word in our dictionary.”

Q：Tell us about your most impressive experience with the team.

“By working all night for project biddings I felt the strong camaraderie among us - positive team spirit enabled us to work well together and achieve a higher level. Teams are not born, they are built.”

“My goal for this year is to lose some weight for a healthier me!”

Q：How would you describe the culture at M-SPACE?

“We are a big family although we come from different backgrounds. People are loving, caring and supportive, giving a hand to each other anytime in need.“

Q：Describe your most significant change after joining M-SPACE.

“More positivity, less complaint. More fruitful communication, less clumsiness. More encouragement, less conflict. Being healthy both physically and mentally is the greatest gift for myself.”

“I joined M-SPACE in 2006 when it first started. Witnessing the ups and downs of the company from zero to what we’ve achieved makes me extremely thankful to every steps taken in this long journey.”

Q：Describe your opinion towards team work.

“Attitude is everything and team spirit is essential. No man is an island. Making every team member realise that they are part of the team is the best antidote to an insular, narrow-minded work attitude. This will engender a willingness on the part of everyone to pull in one direction, regardless of the job or task at hand.”

Q：What advise you would give to your younger self ten years ago?

“Be more devoted to everything I did. Work harder play harder.”

“I was born in early spring April, love simplicity, freedom and pop music.”

Q：Describe the meaning of work to your life.

“It is part of my life like a bone in me. My characters and skills have been honed and refined along my career path. Never stop self-improving and keep functioning the best at my position to create values for the team. Everyone counts.”

Q：Advise you would like to give to your older self ten year later?

“To live in the moment and savor every minute! Not to dwell on the past, nor being anxious or worrying about the future. Seizing each moment in life allows us to prolong its value and make it more meaningful.”

“I love gourmet and sport. As contradictory as this sounds, I am an extrovert as well as an introvert.”

Q：How would you describe the culture at M-SPACE?

“Everyone is giving it best to their individualised jobs as well as considering its job as part of a team effort. The company fosters team interaction and communication, to build up its unique corporate human culture.”

Q：What advise you would give to your younger self ten years ago?

“To get married! Time flies...”

M-SPACE is my second employer after graduation. 17 years ago I was a quiet girl working as a sale assistant. Now I’ve become a chatterbox of the sales team, the wife of my husband, and the mother of my daughter. The company participated in most of the milestones in my life.”

Q：How would you describe the culture at M-SPACE?

“Definitely it is the team work spirit, which is the essence to compete for a project.”

Q：What advise you would give to your younger self ten years ago?

“Work harder to become a better me.”
